Fresno is in fact a somewhat large city, with a population of over 500k people in the city and over a million by whatever Metropolitan Fresno means. But if you’re driving into Fresno in certain directions, it looks like a desolate, rural area full of industrial plants. Along the 180, intersecting H avenue (and Palm), you’ll see Fresno’s iconic, ugly ass grain silos. They’re finally going down, and Fresno will be the better for it.
