Tamales are a favorite for many, more so in December. It can literally be a gift, since it’s usually something that needs unwrapping. But finding well made tamales isn’t always easy; some have too much masa, very little meat, or dry. When store bought or store made tamales have got you down, this Tamale Fest just might find you the perfect tamales.
Tamale Fest 2024
Tamale Festival this year is at Fresno’s River Park Farmer’s Market in December. There will be a “delicious feast” of dozens of different tamale creations, representing dozens of family recipes passed down for many decades. People can enjoy more than 20 freshly steamed, unique authentic recipes prepared by Mexican and Central American chefs. Tamale Festival will be on Dec. 3 from 5pm to 9pm at the River Park Farmer’s Market at 220 E. Paseo Del Centro. As this is River Park, there is free parking (and there’s a ton of parking around, especially in the parking garage or the lot around Macy’s).
