I used to live around the River Park area in Fresno, so I’ve known that the Texas de Brazil restaurant has been around for quite a while. Initially, I could care less about anything that has Texas in its name; after all, it is but a state mostly full of racist Trump supporters if you exclude its few major cities. The restaurant piqued my interest however after I experienced my first Brazilian restaurant in California (I’ll try to remember its name because it was so good). So after a Fresno Philharmonic event, and 2 failed attempts of trying to find a restaurant just to chill at, Brazil de Texas was the final destination. I sure am glad to have given the restaurant a try. I am normally allergic to high prices, especially when I know many restaurants try to take advantage of people with their ridiculous prices.
Brazil de Texas has substantial justification for any of its prices. For a price a little under $50, you essentially have an all you can eat buffet type of thing going on. The salad bar is where you’ll serve yourself just like you would at a buffet, but it is not the main course (unless you paid solely for the salad bar, which is a little over $30). The salad bar includes premium items such as smoked salmon, palm hearts (it’s very much like bamboo shoots), artichoke hearts, shrimp, and so much more. But the real treat is the meat, which is where Brazil comes in. There is no place to get the meat; the meat comes to you instead, freshly served from roaming staff. You can decline or accept whatever meat this person has, and it varies greatly; from chicken, pork, beef or lamb, with different cuts and flavors!
